On July 27, 2023, Allan Sicard Leadership Program had the privilege of presenting at the Tasmania Police Executive Leadership Programme, sharing insights on Evolving Leadership with an esteemed audience of Inspectors, Superintendents, and Assistant Commissioners.
During the session, I shared personal stories from critical events like the Mosman Collar Bomb incident and the first two hours of the Lindt Cafe Siege. These experiences offered valuable lessons on leadership under pressure and highlighted the importance of preparing not only yourself but also your team, partner agencies, and the wider community for future challenges.
A key message from my presentation—and my book—was the importance of building a resilient and inclusive leadership team. A team that empowers others to foster a supportive workplace environment where everyone has the chance to thrive.
The Tasmania Police team was incredibly welcoming, and I had the pleasure of attending their Officer Dinner in full Mess Uniform—a memorable experience indeed.
