As the host of the Courage to Lead interview series, I had the privilege of hosting a panel discussion on resilience. The panel consisted of four distinguished leaders: Carlene York, Amy Brown, Mick Willing, and Peter Scott. Each of them brought unique perspectives and experiences to the table, making for a rich and insightful conversation.

Both faced unexpected departures, with Mick not being chosen for the commissioner’s job and Carlene not being part of the new team. However, they also highlighted the importance of resilience in bouncing back from such setbacks.

They emphasised the need for support networks, including trusted mentors, friends, and family, to navigate and survive through difficult situations. They also highlighted the importance of treating people fairly and building strong relationships, as these connections can provide support in times of need.
