Allan Sicard is a highly respected Australian leader, speaker, author, and mentor with an exceptional 40-year career in the NSW Police Force, where he rose to senior command roles and demonstrated outstanding courage, integrity, and people-centered leadership.
During his distinguished policing service, Allan held critical command positions across general duties, detectives, and major operations. He played key leadership roles in high-profile incidents including the 2011 Mosman Collar Bomb operation and the 2014 Lindt Café Siege (as Forward Commander in the critical first hours). He also led a multi-agency response that provided housing and support to hundreds of homeless individuals across central and northern Sydney from 2013 to 2020.
Recognised for his excellence, Allan received the prestigious Peter Mitchell Award for Excellence in a Policing Investigation (2001), the Champion of Change Award in Policing (2017), and two Commissioners’ Unit Citations for the Mosman Collar Bomb and Lindt Café Siege operations.
Since retiring, Allan has channeled his vast leadership experience into positive societal impact. As Executive Director of 3R Consulting, he specialises in building Resilience, Relationships, and Reputation to help organisations create supportive, inclusive, and high-performing cultures.
He is the author of The Courage to Lead and is currently writing his second book, drawing on 40 years of policing experience and insights from 100+ podcast guests. He is also the producer and host of the acclaimed podcast The Courage to Lead Interview Series, where he interviews exceptional leaders on empowering others and developing inclusive environments.
