I had an incredible experience facilitating The NSW Sheriff’s Pilot Sergeant Program over three days in February 2024. Drawing inspiration from my book, The Courage to Lead: Resilience and Compassion in Police Command, we focused on empowering others to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace where people can truly thrive.

It was inspiring to witness the next generation of leaders grasp the potential of building a strong workplace culture. The program featured insights from two of my podcast guests from The Courage to Lead: Jamie Caldwell and Michael Willing APM GAICD. We also had an impromptu interview with Acting Sheriff NSW, Daniel Gordon. These discussions exposed participants to contemporary, real-world leadership stories that highlighted the importance of resilience and compassion in command roles.

One standout moment was Jamie Caldwell delivering his presentation from a busy airport lounge via Teams, demonstrating remarkable flexibility and adaptability—qualities essential for any effective leader.

If your business or organisation is looking to enhance its culture and empower its leaders, let’s connect. The framework I use, based on the theme of my book, is adaptable to any organization, regardless of size.

Thanks again, Jamie, for showcasing what’s possible, even in the most demanding environments.
